About Meighan Carmichael

Meighan spent much of her childhood moving from state to state before her family settled in North Carolina. After finishing a Master’s Degree in Accounting, she traveled west and spent several years living and working in the Bay Area, but the slow, persistent call of the Carolinas pulled her back home, first to Asheville and then to Hillsborough, where she’s been since 2008. She found her professional home in real estate following rewarding chapters in education, public accounting and interior design- this diverse mix of knowledge and experience provides unique and helpful insight for her clients, and keeps her work fun and interesting. She dreamed of opening a boutique, top-tier real estate firm for a decade: one that prioritizes community and focuses on providing expert insight & service; Hillsborough Real Estate Group is the product of this vision.

Meighan and her family are active in the local music, arts and community scenes, and enjoy hosting gatherings for friends and neighbors as often as possible. If she’s not at a house chatting about real estate, you can usually find her hiking Occoneechee mountain, walking along the Riverwalk, or visiting one of the town’s local haunts, connecting with old friends and making new ones.
